SUMMARY:Prof Insights: Faculty-Led Workshop: Professor Golden in Kankakee\, IL
DESCRIPTION:What Can 8th Century B.C. Prophets Teach the 21st Century?\nSeparated by nearly three millennia and significant cultural differences\, the great prophets of the 8th century B.C. – Isaiah\, Micah\, Amos\, Hosea and Jonah – can seem a world apart. Yet the Spirit remains active in their message so that we would be strengthened in the faith. We will consider the 8th-century B.C. prophets in their original context\, compare that context to our own and apply the Word of the Lord that they delivered afresh to our own day. \n\n\n\n\nDr. Kevin Golden\nAssociate Professor of Exegetical Theology\, Dean of Ministerial Formation\, and Director of Resident Field Education\nDr. Kevin Golden is associate professor of Exegetical Theology\, dean of Ministerial Formation\, and director of Resident Field Education at Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis.
