SUMMARY:Prof Insights: Faculty-Led Workshop: Professor Eatherton in Sheboygan\, WI
DESCRIPTION:Faith Formation Through Music and Worship\nMany forces are vying for the attention of our youth — movies\, social media\, friends\, the internet. What are we as parents\, teachers\, pastors and church leaders to do? Our children will be formed as they grow up. It is our duty as caretakers to ensure that what forms them is the Word of God. The music and worship of the church always have been significant ways to inculcate the faith into children. In the 21st century\, the church has produced many resources for parents\, teachers and children to continue this educational process. Come and learn how your congregation can facilitate the formation of children both at home and at church with practices that are important and lasting. \n\n\n\n\nDr. Samuel Eatherton\nAssistant Professor of Practical Theology\, Kantor and The Kreft Professor for Music Arts\nDr. Samuel Eatherton is assistant professor of Practical Theology\, Kantor\, and the Kreft Professor for Music Arts at Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis.
