Thomas Rehkop Joins Concordia Seminary Staff

Thomas Rehkop has accepted the call extended him by Concordia Seminary, St. Louis to serve in the Seminary's development office as director of major gifts and special projects. Prior to accepting the call, Rehkop served as a gift planning counselor for the International Lutheran Laymen's League, a position he held since 1994. He begins his new responsibilities on Sept. 16.

Rehkop received his associate's degree from St. Paul's College, Concordia, Mo. and his baccalaureate degree from Concordia University, Seward. He served as a Lutheran high school instructor at Lutheran High School West in Detroit, Mich. (1977-80) and at Metro-East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, Ill. (1980-86). He also was an area sales manager, regional trainer and human resource manager for Famous-Barr Department Stores.

"Tom brings to this position a deep faith in Christ, a commitment to the work of the church and a strong desire to assist God's people in giving gifts to help share the Gospel through our graduates," said Leonard Fiedler, vice president for development. "And Tom is a 'people person.' Our supporters will thoroughly enjoy his visits with them to discuss their participation in the Seminary's mission and vision for the future."
