Concordia Seminary Announces Fall Vicarage Placement
Concordia Seminary is pleased to announce that five students preparing to serve as pastors in The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) received vicarage assignments on Wednesday, Oct. 24, during the Seminary’s morning chapel service. Vicarage is a one-year internship during which students perform many of the functions of the pastoral ministry while being supervised by an experienced LCMS pastor. The following students received vicarages:
Richard Bremseth (from Pine River, Minnesota) – Immanuel and Trinity Lutheran Churches, Alpha, Minnesota (Minnesota South District);
Timothy Drawbaugh (from Mayville, Wisconsin) – Atlantic District LCMS, Bronxville, New York (Atlantic District);
David Kochendorfer (from Moore, Oklahoma) – Trinity Lutheran Church, Ardmore, Oklahoma, (Oklahoma District);
Jeffrey Lambrecht (from Augusta, Wisconsin) – Concordia Lutheran Church, Berwyn, Illinois (English District);
Richard Lovick (from Bellevue, Washington) – Peace Lutheran Church, Minoqua, Wisconsin (North Wisconsin District).
While Concordia Seminary students receive vicarage assignments at various times during the academic year, the majority are received in April. On April 25, a total of 101 Concordia Seminary students received vicarage assignments to sites throughout the world, including Russia. The spring placement in 2002 will take place on April 23.
