Seminarian Mark Adden Called to Church Triumphant
Seminarian Mark Louis Adden died of cardiac arrest on Saturday, Sept. 27. He was 47 years old. Visitation was held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from the Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis, Ill. The funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nokomis.
Adden, a fourth-year student, had completed his vicarage at St. John Lutheran Church in Hannibal, Mo., and was preparing for placement into the ministerium of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. Survivors include his parents, Carl and Isabelle, and his sister, Carla.
