Simpson Named Director of Principal Gifts at Concordia Seminary

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, announces that Cindy L. Simpson has been named director of principal gifts in the Development Division. Her duties will include leading and overseeing all aspects of building relationships with Concordia Seminary’s most generous and faithful donors. She also will serve as mentor for current and future field officers.

Prior to that, she served as director of church relations and internal events (1996-2002), assistant dean of admissions (1994-1996) and admissions counselor/liaison (1989-1994) at Concordia University College, Alberta, Canada. She also has served on various boards and committees for the Lutheran Church - Canada.

“Cindy’s background and proven experience in this area make her the ideal candidate for this position,” commented Mark D. Hofman, vice president for development at Concordia Seminary. “I am extremely pleased that she has chosen to assume responsibility for this leadership role.”

Simpson received the bachelor of arts degree from Concordia University College, Alberta, Canada, in 1989. She is married to Rev. Ronald Simpson, currently a graduate student at Concordia Seminary. They have two children, Ryan and Meghan.
