Seminary Visitation Event for Prospective Pastors and Deaconesses

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is pleased to invite prospective students and their guests to attend its 2005 Fall Visitation Weekend, to be held Oct. 6-8 on the Seminary campus. The weekend is designed for those who are college age or older. It provides an effective means of learning more about life in the Concordia Seminary community and the preparation that leads to service as a pastor, missionary, chaplain or deaconess in The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.

Visitors will have the opportunity to worship with the Seminary community in The Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus, to visit classes and to tour the campus. Participants also will hear presentations on academic offerings, financial assistance, housing, resident field education, vicarage and the admission process. Guests also may wish to take advantage of the many recreational opportunities in the St. Louis area.

An Information Fair on Friday evening is designed to highlight the myriad of organizations and opportunities that life at Concordia Seminary offers. More than 30 representatives from organizations involved in nearly all aspects of life in the Seminary community will be present to share information and answer questions.

The Women’s Information Session on Saturday morning has proven to be very popular and beneficial for wives, fiancées and girlfriends of prospective pastoral ministry students.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a bus tour of the community, including stops at specific points of interest on Friday morning, immediately following the Seminary’s morning chapel service.

There is no charge to attend the Fall Visitation Weekend, and all meals and lodging are provided free of charge. Round-trip transportation to Concordia Seminary from the airport is provided.
