Professor Emeritus Dr. H. Richard Klann Called to Glory
Dr. H. Richard Klann, professor emeritus at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, died on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005. He was 90 years old.
Klann served as professor emeritus at Concordia Seminary from 1985 to 2005. Previously, he was professor of systematic theology from 1963 to 1985. He received the bachelor of divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in 1938; the master of arts degree from Washington University, St. Louis, in 1939; the doctor of philosophy degree from Columbia University, New York, N.Y., in 1951; and the honorary doctor of divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1986.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Faith Lutheran Church in Eustis, Fla. Rev. William Schmidt, a former Seminary student of Klann’s, will serve as officiant. He is survived by his wife, Martha, and his daughter, Andrea.
