Concordia Seminary Sponsors Faculty Book Signing

Concordia Seminary will honor faculty members who have recently written or contributed to published books on Tuesday, May 19, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Koburg Hall. In addition, a book-signing will take place at a wine and cheese reception. The following faculty have had books published:

Charles Arand and Robert Kolb: The Genius of Luther’s Theology (Baker)
Charles Arand, Robert Kolb and Robert Rosin: all had chapters in The Pastoral Luther (Eerdmans)
Kent Burreson: editor for He Was Crucified (Concordia Publishing House)
Robert Kolb: Martin Luther, Confessor of the Faith (Oxford)
Reed Lessing: Concordia Commentary: Amos (Concordia Publishing House)
David Maxwell: contributed a chapter in In the Shadow of the Incarnation: Essays on Jesus Christ in the Early Church in Honor of Brian E. Daley, S.J. (U. of Notre Dame Press)
Francis Rossow: Gospel Patterns in Literature (Kirk House)
Quentin Wesselschmidt: Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture: Psalms 51-150 (InterVarsity)

“On top of teaching overloads and immense economic challenges, Concordia Seminary’s faculty is still somehow finding time to write books of the highest caliber with respected publishers and wide-ranging audiences,” commented William Schumacher, dean of theological research and publication. “I continue to be astounded by the deep commitment of my colleagues to provide exceptional theological resources for the wider church and world.”

All books will be available for purchase at the Concordia Seminary’s bookstore, as well as during the event.
