Concordia Seminary Campus Unscathed by St. Louis Tornadoes
The battering storm that hit St. Louis and the surrounding areas on Good Friday, April 22, 2011, including several tornadoes that made national news, left the campus of Concordia Seminary unharmed. St. Louis has been hit with several storm systems in the past week and will continue to experience turbulent weather throughout the following week.
“We’ve had two battering storms, including tornadoes, last Tuesday and Good Friday, and to my knowledge, only one tree fell down,” commented Dr. Dale A. Meyer, president of Concordia Seminary. “We thank God for sparing the campus and pray for those whose lives have been devastated.”
At this time, no loss of life has been reported. Lambert-St. Louis International Airport will be closed indefinitely due to a large amount of damage to one of the terminals. We thank God for His mercy and pray for all those whose lives have been affected by this storm.
