Concordia Seminary Announces Fall Lay Bible Institute

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, will host its fall 2012 Lay Bible Institute from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, Oct. 10, 17, 24, and 31 in Sieck Hall 202 on the Seminary campus. “Christ is Risen, Indeed — But So What? Developing Our Easter Faith and Hope For Life Today” will be presented by Dr. Jeffrey Gibbs, professor of exegetical theology at Concordia Seminary.

It’s the foundation of our faith — the bodily, physical resurrection of Jesus on that first Easter morning. We confess it, we believe it; but what does it mean to live it? Come and join us as we dig into what the Scriptures say, not just about the fact of Easter but also about the meaning and the power of Easter for hopeful living today.

To register for the Lay Bible Institute, please call 314-505-7486 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or email ce@csl.edu. You may also register online or download a registration form. The cost is $30 per person and includes all handouts and refreshments. Registration deadline is Oct. 3. Concordia Seminary is located at 801 Seminary Place, in Clayton, Mo.
