Advent Lessons and Carols at Concordia Seminary
Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, will hold its annual Advent Lessons and Carols, “The Lord Will Come,” on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Eunice and Lois (undercroft chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus) on Concordia Seminary’s campus.
Pro Musica Sacra—A Lutheran Community Choir, directed by Rev. David Johnson, will sing a vast repertoire of Advent carols, composed, crafted, and edited by K. Lee Scott including, “People Look East,” “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming,” and “My Soul Now Glorifies the Lord.” Countless settings span a variety of eras and styles creating a collage of interesting choral sounds. The assembly will join in singing several beloved Advent hymns as the Church prepares to greet Immanuel — God with us!
