Pre-Lenten Workshop explores Exodus

Workshop for pastors set for Jan. 25

The Exodus was a foundational event in the history of Israel, but what does it mean for Christians today? This is the focus of Concordia Seminary’s Pre-Lenten Workshop “Let My People Go!” for pastors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25.

The annual Pre-Lenten Workshop is held on campus each year to help pastors develop their worship resources for Lent. This year, the one-day workshop will be hosted by Dr. R. Reed Lessing, senior pastor at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The workshop helps pastors explore what the Exodus means for Christians, what it demonstrates about the character of God, and paints a picture of who Jesus is and why He came to save His people.

The Pre-Lenten Workshop will be held in the Presidents Room on the Concordia Seminary campus, 801 Seminary Place, St. Louis, MO 63105. Registration is $50 and includes lunch. Deadline for registration is Jan. 7. Register online here.
