Inaugural Give Green and Gold Day set

Show Seminary support during day of giving

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis’ first Give Green and Gold Day set for Monday, Sept. 30, will give Seminary friends a new opportunity to show their support for the institution and its mission.

The Seminary hopes to raise $20,000 to benefit student aid during the 24-hour Give Green and Gold Day. Thanks to a matching grant, donor gifts will be doubled dollar for dollar on Give Green and Gold Day up to a total of $10,000.

“We’re excited to offer this first-ever Give Green and Gold Day and to provide friends and supporters another way to be involved in the eternal life-saving mission of Concordia Seminary,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “Every gift, from the smallest to the greatest, is important in our ongoing mission to ensure that our congregations and missions around the world have the shepherds to lead and the resources to help them grow in the faith. We thank each and every donor in advance for his or her gift on Give Green and Gold Day!”

Individuals also can show their support for the Seminary’s Give Green and Gold Day by spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #GiveGreenandGold.

To participate, make an online gift at grouprev.com/givegreenandgold2019 or call 800-822-5287.

“We’re very excited about this new way to support our students as they follow their calling to share the Gospel,” said Megan Duncan, manager of annual giving and Give Green and Gold Day campaign manager. “By tying in the Seminary’s colors — green and gold — students, alumni and friends can spread the word about the day, as well as the Seminary, in creative ways.”
