Seminary faculty authors recognized for books, articles published in 2019–20
Through their writing, the faculty authors of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis speak the Word of God into the world, and this year’s body of work is extensive. A reception is normally held to honor the authors, but the event was canceled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“The faculty author reception is a highlight each spring, so we miss being able to celebrate this year’s achievements together,” said Dr. Travis Scholl, managing editor of Seminary Publications. “Nevertheless, this academic year’s publications display once again how Concordia Seminary’s community of pastors and scholars is engaging church and world with the gifts of the Gospel.”
Dean of Theological Research and Publication and Professor of Systematic Theology Dr. Charles Arand added, “Concordia Seminary has truly been blessed to have an outstanding group of scholars whose thinking and teaching within the Seminary classroom can be taken out into the congregations and classrooms of the wider church through their writings. Once again, these publications exhibit not only the caliber of our faculty’s scholarship, but most importantly, their Gospel-centered pastoral hearts.”
