Golden, Prieto join Seminary faculty
New professors bring teaching, mission experience
Two new professors joined the faculty at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis July 1, 2021. Dr. Kevin Golden is associate professor of Exegetical Theology, and Dr. Ely Prieto is associate professor of Practical Theology, the Lutheran Foundation Professor of Urban and Cross-Cultural Ministry and associate dean for Urban and Cross-Cultural Ministry.
“We are excited to bring two very experienced new faculty members, Dr. Kevin Golden and Dr. Ely Prieto, to Concordia Seminary. Both men have demonstrated their commitment to pastoral ministry and mission in their own way,” said Provost Dr. Douglas L. Rutt. “Dr. Golden is known as a caring, dedicated parish pastor who has distinguished himself as a preacher and teacher. Dr. Prieto brings a depth of mission experience, beginning with his work among people who are deaf in Brazil, all the way to his time as a missionary in the San Antonio area working with immigrants. It has been my privilege to have known them for many years and I look forward to working with them here at the Seminary.”
