Fifth annual Give Green and Gold Day set for Sept. 25

Gifts matched up to first $50k raised

Give Green and Gold Day

Preparing pastors, deaconesses and missionaries who are faithful to the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions is central to the mission of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and is the focus of the Seminary’s fifth annual Give Green and Gold Day set for Sept. 25. Gifts donated through this special campaign will be used where needed most in support of the Seminary’s mission.

Donors will have the opportunity to double the impact of their gift during the 24-hour window of giving. Thanks to a matching gift, donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to the first $50,000 raised toward an overall $100,000 campaign goal.

“Donor support makes all the difference when it comes to carrying out the mission of Concordia Seminary,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “Our friends and supporters consistently demonstrate their love for our students, and it is a wonderful privilege during this campaign to offer a special opportunity to double the impact of one’s gift with the match that is available. Our donors are such blessings to us as they make our mission possible!”

Early giving is now open. Donors can visit the Give Green and Gold Day giving page to make their online contribution at any time now through Sept. 25.

Seminary friends also are invited to encourage others in their support for Give Green and Gold Day by spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #GiveGreenandGold, by sharing the giving page or by calling 800-822-5287.

Give Green and Gold Day is one of three annual giving days at the Seminary. Learn more about the Seminary’s annual giving days at csl.edu/giving-days.
