Concordia Seminary to Host 'Equipped to Care' Workshop
Concordia Seminary will offer a workshop titled “Equipped to Care – A Workshop on Chemical Use, Abuse and Dependency” on Thursday, Feb. 26, to be held on the Seminary campus. The workshop will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m.
“Equipped to Care” will be led and moderated by Dr. Marilyn Bader, prevention coordinator for The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (NCADA). Attendees will develop skills needed to effectively respond and minister to people and their families struggling with addiction and substance abuse. They will also explore personal beliefs and attitudes toward substance abuse and addiction.
Pre-registration by Feb. 20 is required. The registration cost for “Equipped to Care” is $65 for the public, $40 for full-time Concordia Seminary students and spouses, and $50 for Concordia Seminary staff. The fee includes lunch and materials.
