Seminary Press Lent Sermon Series available for download
Series based on Peter
Imagine that someone asked you to summarize the Gospel in a few short words. Let’s say seven. Could you do it? Could you summarize the Gospel in seven words? How about those in your congregation? Could they confess the Gospel clearly and concisely?
Concordia Seminary’s 2018 Lent Sermon Series “The Gospel in Seven Words” explores a variety of biblical ways in which we confess our Christian faith, and aims to equip both pastors and members in finding creative ways of proclaiming the one true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The series is now available for download from Concordia Seminary Press here.
“Peter calls us to be prepared always to give a reason for the hope we have as Christians (1 Peter 3:15),” said Dr. Peter Nafzger, assistant professor of Practical Theology and series author. “Christians have the best news in the world to share. But are we prepared to share it?”
“The Gospel in Seven Words” includes sermons for traditional midweek services, dialogical midweek sermons and a set of sermons for Holy Week. The series also includes an introduction with hymn, readings and litany suggestions.
The downloadable sermon series is available for $19.95 here.
