Fixing our eyes on Jesus with Dr. David Peter, professor of Practical Theology

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,” our theme for this academic year, is based on Heb. 12:1-3 (ESV):

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

During our first session, we will take a closer look at these verses and their impact on our lives today.

You were baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and so you received a flood of blessings. One of those blessings is the Name into which you were baptized. When you have the name of the Lord, you have Him and all that is His. Let us rejoice in what the Lord packs into His name.
