Intramural Sports
Seminary students are encouraged to participate in Concordia Seminary’s robust intramurals (IM) program. The program allows students, faculty, staff and spouses to participate in a wide variety of sports.
Intercollegiate Sports
Concordia Seminary is proud to sponsor intercollegiate teams in soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf, with all teams going by the name The Preachers.
Our Seminary basketball team plays at Pederson Field House and participates in an annual tournament with our sister seminary, Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Our soccer team plays on the athletic field on campus and competes annually against Kenrick Seminary for the Nicea Cup.
Tennis matches are played at the newly renovated tennis courts just east of Pederson Fieldhouse, and golf club team matches are played in Forest Park.
To participate in intercollegiate sports, a student must:
- be full-time
- maintain a 2.50 academic and field education GPA
- be employed for no more than 15 hours per week
