Campaigns
God works through listening ears and generous hearts to do “far more abundantly” and “throughout all generations.”
That’s one summation of Generations: The Campaign for Concordia Seminary and its successor three-year effort, Generations 20/20 Campaign, collectively the largest fundraising effort in the Seminary’s nearly 200-year history. The campaigns were focused on ensuring that future generations will be served by faithful, relevant and relational pastors who share the Gospel in ways that advance the Great Commission. The response was historic, a testimony to renewed enthusiasm for the Seminary’s mission to form Lutheran pastors, missionaries and deaconesses for our children, grandchildren and generations to come.
Generations: The Campaign for Concordia Seminary
Generations Campaign ran from July 1, 2012, to Dec. 31, 2017, and had a goal of $180 million. Its focus included building the Seminary’s endowment, increasing annual support, renovating the library and investing in learning technology initiatives. At its conclusion, the campaign raised more than $204 million.
Generations 20/20 Campaign
The Generations 20/20 Campaign was a three-year continuation of the historic Generations Campaign. The campaign ran from Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2020, with a goal of $66 million for endowment and annual operations. At its conclusion, the campaign raised more than $81 million.
