Joint Seminary Devotional Released
The students of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in partnership with the students of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., have released the 2005 Joint Seminary Devotional, including Bible studies by over 40 students. The devotional is available through the Concordia Seminary Web site at www.csl.edu/Devotional.pdf.
The devotional contains a listing of Scripture readings for each day of Lent and devotions, written by students, for each particular day. A navigation pane on the Web page includes a bookmark to each devotion for easy reference. The devotions are designed to be used with the Minister’s Prayer Book, edited by John Doberstein and published in 1986 by Fortress Press, and follow the Year I Scripture lessons for Lent. A daily list of the three Scripture readings is included at the beginning of the book for easy reference.
Dr. Leopoldo Sánchez, assistant professor of systematic theology at Concordia Seminary,
St. Louis, served as one of the faculty reviewers for the devotional. Also, St. Louis Seminarian David Seabaugh compiled the devotions. The devotional is an annual compilation by the students of the St. Louis and Fort Wayne campuses.
