Daniel Groody to Lecture on Immigration at Concordia Seminary
Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Groody will present a lecture titled “So What About Immigration” on Thursday, April 27, at 10:30 a.m. in Werner Auditorium on the Seminary campus. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
The lecture will address immigration from a theological perspective. It will begin with a 33-minute documentary, co-produced by Groody, titled “Dying to Live: A Migrant’s Journey.” The documentary also will be shown on Wednesday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m. in the Seminary’s Presidents Room. An open forum discussion will be held following the lecture.
Groody is assistant professor of theology at University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind., and director of its Center for Latino Spirituality and Culture. His visit at Concordia Seminary was arranged by the Seminary’s Hispanic Institute of Theology.
