Concordia Seminary Web Site Operational Again
Concordia Seminary, St. Louis announces that its Web site (www.csl.edu) is operational again after being the victim of a computer hacker on July 24. The site has been restored and additional precautions have been taken to ensure that the site is not compromised again. Additional functions, such as the popular Lectionary at Lunch web page, should be updated by the end of the day.
“We were shocked to experience something of this nature,” commented Rev. Glen Thomas, vice president for seminary relations at Concordia Seminary. “We have built-in security measures on the site, but this person was able to compromise these measures. Between the power outages caused by the violent storms that went through St. Louis and the malicious work of the hacker, the past few days have been quite challenging. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.”
