Faculty, staff attend Best Practices
The Seminary was well represented at the Best Practices for Ministry conference Feb. 21-23 in Phoenix, Ariz., with a number of our faculty and staff speaking and networking for the event. Those presenting from the Seminary were:
Vicki Biggs, Senior Vice President, Seminary Advancement

Dr. Gillian Bond, Director of the Residential Deaconess Program
“Science, Scientism, and Christian Witness”
Dr. James Marriott, the Kreft Chair in Musical Arts and Director of Musical Arts
“Worship and Culture”
Dr. Bruce Hartung, Professor Emeritus
“Stress is Necessary So Bring It On (More or Less)”
Dr. Glenn Nielsen, Director of Vicarage and Deaconess Internships, Ministerial Formation and Professor of Practical Theology, Practical Theology
“How a Dennis the Menace Cartoon Changed the Way I Preach and Teach the Sanctified Life.”

The Seminary also was represented with an exhibit table, and hosted a reception for all guests one evening. This now third-annual reception is popular with conference attendees, many of whom are alumni.
