Concordia Seminary Newsroom
News coverage for carillon series
Tim Ezell, a morning reporter from the local Fox News TV station affiliate, featured the Seminary and the Summer Carillon Series during several live spots airing June 17. Ezell toured Luther Tower with Dr. Kent Burreson, dean of chapel, and John Klinger, chief information officer. Klinger and Burreson shared information about the rare musical instrument (there are only 170 carillons in North America) and Klinger demonstrated how to play the carillon. In addition, Karel Keldermans, a carillonneur from Springfield, Ill., and Burreson were on KFUO Radio’s “The Coffee Hour” May 29 to discuss the annual Summer Carillon Concert Series. Listen to the interview on kfuo.org.
The annual series is held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in June.
