Presidential painting begins
Daily took photographs outdoors to take advantage of the natural lighting. Later in the day, he created a paint sketch of Meyer that he will reference as he works on the final portrait. Noah Comfort Dog also was there to lend a paw. Meyer and his wife, Diane, had a golden retriever named Ferdie, who was much loved on campus and by the Meyers. Meyer wanted to have Ferdie pose with him, but since Ferdie passed away last year, Noah Comfort Dog filled in for the photo shoot that will be used for the portrait.
When the portrait is complete, it will be displayed in the Presidents Room.
