Joint Boards of Regents meet
The Boards of Regents of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind. (CTSFW), and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL) held a productive joint meeting Aug. 8–9 in Fort Wayne. The two boards agreed to establish a formal process for the leadership of each board to meet regularly, in addition to the bylaw-established annual joint meeting of the full boards.
During the meeting, the regents heard a presentation from LCMS Chief Mission Officer Rev. Kevin Robson, who shared details of the comprehensive church worker recruitment initiative being planned by the LCMS, seminaries, Concordia University System and districts. The boards also discussed cultural changes facing the church and seminaries, and the two seminary presidents, CTSFW’s Dr. Lawrence R. Rast and CSL’s Dr. Dale A. Meyer, gave an overview of the state of the seminaries.
